Our
Telly stars talk about their special moments, the major attributes
needed to have a strong bond of love, and above all their plans for
this Valentine's Day, in our Telly Buzz Special..










Euphoria
has set in, as it is yet again the day when red roses speak volumes
about the love life of a couple!! It's again the day when heart-shaped
balloons, soft music and loads of gifts make your hearts skip a
beat…Yes, as the world celebrates Valentine's Day today on the February
14th, as the day for spreading love and affection towards your intimate
ones, Telly Buzz caught up with few actors from Tellydom, who have been
going strong with their partners.

We asked the actors about
their plans for the D-day, a special moment in their lives that they
would want to share with their fans, and above all, on the major
attribute that the couples need to have as foundation to a strong and
healthy relationship. While most of them felt that 'Friendship' is the
major foundation for finding happiness in a relationship, they also
specified that having respect for each other actually helps in
nullifying the problems in life!!

Over to the actors, as they share with Telly Buzz their pleasant memories of being in a relationship…

Manav Vij:

Everyday
is a Valentine's Day for me. I don't need a special day for showering
love on Meher. We have not planned anything special for the day, but we
have thought about having a get-together in our house. We will be
inviting close friends, friends from the industry etc; maybe we will
have a Karaoke night. If this does not materialize, I will take Meher
to the hill station near Pune, Lavasa. It's a very beautiful place, and
Meher will simply love it. In other words, I will do something or that
other to make the day special for my wife.

One of the secrets
that I would want to share is that, my mornings always start with me
pampering my wife. I start my day by making a cup of tea for Meher. I
do it religiously and this is one way in which I thank her for coming
into my life. Once when I was out of Mumbai on work, I realized how
difficult it was for me to stay away from showering love on her as soon
as I get up (smiles).

I always believe that one should go in
for marriage, if the person believes that he/she can stand by all the
vachans (oaths) that we take while taking the 'Saat Pheres'. If you
feel you can carry the same respect for each other all thro' your life,
then listen to your heart and get married. Otherwise, be better off
enjoying life and remaining single!!

Sanjeeda Sheikh:

I
don't think we will be able to plan anything for Valentine's Day. I
will be shooting for an ad, and guess it will be a normal day for us.

Secrets are meant to be secrets. But I always thank God for giving me Aamir in my life, and he means a lot to me.

I
think the basic attribute in having a successful relationship is to
understand each other well. If this is not there, then every small
happening starts bugging you, which is not good in the long run. Above
all, one needs to be happy and contented in the other's company…

Mohit Malik:

First
of all, I don't believe that you need one special day to shower love on
your partner. For me, everyday is Valentines. Having said this, I am
not a romantic person by heart. So I don't have anything planned for
the day. But I would love to have a nice time with Additi on the day.
To tell you frankly, I would shower love to all in my family, and to
all the people whom I love.

Trust is very important in a
relationship. You need to be straight about everything, and there needs
to be transparency in life. I never hide anything from Additi, and the
same is with her too. Love with a lot of trust and transparency to me,
is very essential for a relationship to be successful.

Sai Deodhar:

I think both of us will be busy shooting on the day. However, we will surely go out for a nice dinner at night.

See,
for me and Shakti, it was friendship that happened first and this is
what binds us together for the rest of our lives. We are extremely
comfortable in each other's company. We have mutual respect for each
other, and understand each other very well. All this brings back the
innocence that a kid usually has, and even when fights creep in, you
have the stability to laugh it off and move on. The five years of
marriage to Shakti has been the best phase of my life, and I am very
lucky to have him with me. Whatever work we have done together will
remain close to our hearts forever.

Karan Mehra:

We
have not planned anything for the day; but all we know is that we will
get out of Mumbai and spend the day for ourselves. We might go to Amby
Valley, or might end up going to Faryad or Kamshed.

One thing
I would want to tell you is that we both used to fight a lot before
marriage. You won't believe that we fought just before we decided to
get married (smiles). Last year, on the morning of February 13th,
Devika and I had a very bad fight and almost had a break-up. That very
afternoon, I decided that we will get married the next day. We caught a
flight and reached Delhi on the same night. The whole of 14th went in
preparing for the marriage, and on the same night we got married
(laughs). So you can say that our marriage happened in a fast forward
mode.

Well, marriage actually makes a man more focused, and
helps him move away from all kinds of distractions. Otherwise, one
feels the need to date with his co-star, have a nice time etc. Mutual
respect needs to be there for a long association.

Ashita Dhawan:

We
have not planned anything as I have just resumed shoot after marriage.
We might make a trip to Nasik. There is this Fula Vineyard where you
get the best of the grape wine. But the cottage there has been booked.
So we might as well roam about in Mumbai and have a nice cozy dinner.

Our
wedding has been an amazing journey starting from the sangeet to the
reception. But the most special memory is the manner in which I made it
to the mandap to take my saat pheres. I actually entered the mandap in
a bike, an Enfield, and all were shocked. My father was the happiest of
all, as he loved every minute of it. Even Shailesh did not know that I
am going to come in a bike (laughs).

Being friends and having
a great deal of compatibility helps a lot. The two should be
comfortable in each other's company. I always believe that the first
and last step to love is friendship.
