Penelope Cruz in Talks for Pirates 4

Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom may have left Pirates of the Caribbean for good, but that just leaves room for a sexy newcomer. Sources say Penelope Cruz is in talks to join Johnny Depp and the cast for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film will be shot in Hawaii this summer and released in May of 2011, which is when Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible IV was just scheduled for release. Penelope's alleged role in the film is being kept under wraps, as is the entire plot of the film.

Insider say, however, that the movie will follow Capt. Jack’s quest for the Fountain of Youth. We're surprised Orlando and Keira would leave at this stage of the game, especially with Johnny Depp still attached! Perhaps Peneleope got in because of director Rob Marshall, who also directed her in Nine.
