Saloni talks on her success

We are not talking about Saat Phere’s Saloni but little stand-up comedian Saloni Daini. She is one of the many children who have become celebrities through reality shows in a matter of few years.

Daini, like most children on TV is hardly child like. She is sharp-tongued and witty. She is famous as Gangu bai, a house cleaner cribbing about her employers.

Daini is not nervous about being interviewed and gives an answer, “When anyone calls to interview me. I hand the phone to my sister and she answers the questions. No one ever finds out.”

Being the host of Chote Miyan was a challenge, “I had got lots of reading practice from the scripts of Chote Miyan so I could read the prompter quite well. Now I can read faster than anybody in my class and school.”

Later, her mother Sanyogita told in an interview about Neha Sawant, 11-year-old reality TV actor who committed suicide because her parents cut down her shoots, “There is just too much hue and cry about the amount of time children spend on sets. After school, all other children are rushed off to different classes and tuitions. Instead of classes, she comes here and learns so much more. So what is wrong with that? Every time I take her home, I have to make sure that her head in not in the clouds. It’s very easy for her to throw tantrums because she is treated like a little princess on the sets.”

To this little Daini told in a recent interview, “Film sets are more fun because I don’t have to learn so many dialogues and there is a lot of free time.”
