Though her debut film Life Mein Kabhie Kabhie didn’t work at the box office — we also saw her in 1920 — this sultry beauty is determined to make it big. Ahmedabad Times spotted Anjori in Ahmedabad recently while she was shooting for Sunil Bora’s [color:f299=blue ! important][color:f299=blue ! important]TV [color:f299=blue ! important]show Seeta aur Geeta. Mom and me My mom is a doctor and also an [color:f299=blue ! important][color:f299=blue ! important]actress. She has always been supportive and gave me a clear picture of the entertainment industry when I decided to make a foray. I do consult her before taking up scripts but the final decision is always mine. She helps me when I come across any problems and provides guidance on honing up my acting skills. Big and small of it I opted for this TV show as it is very different. I am getting to play a double role which I doubt I would have got to play on the big screen. Portraying two different characters of Seeta and Geeta made me feel as if I were on a roller coaster ride constantly. In the beginning, I thought it would be taxing and difficult,but later on I discovered the fun part in it as I never got bored. As I change my outfits, my mind changes completely — I get into the character required. I want to go back to Bollywood and I doubt if I would continue doing television as television soaps do not interest me much. I want to do arthouse and realistic [color:f299=blue ! important][color:f299=blue ! important]films. That doesn’t mean I don’t love to do glamourous roles. Rat race One has to be different to prove herself. The show that I am doing is very unconventional. And I am sure I will carve a niche for myself. Born in a family that is well-connected to the industry didn’t really help me to bag projects. Things would have been easier if I had a Kapoor or a Bachchan surname. I have waited for several hours outside producers’ office for work. Believe me, nothing works, it’s just the acting skills that matter the most. I, me and myself I am a very chilled out, happy-go-lucky person. I like people who are creative. I hate people who are arrogant and pretentious. These days, I don’t get enough time to spare for myself. Whenever I get time, I sleep. I also spend time with my dog Romeo and cat Kali — they are like my children. I have three men in my life — my dad, brother-in-law and dog. I love history, painting, [color:f299=blue ! important][color:f299=blue ! important]music, photography and animals. In future, I plan to open a hospital for animals.
