Work is worship’ for Tabassum

Actress Tabassum, who is one of the judges on the stand-up comedy show Ladies Special on
Zee TV recently hurt herself on the sets. But the veteran brushed off
her injury and got back into the hot seat after a couple of minutes.






A source says, “One of the participants, 16-year-old Kritika Sharma from Amritsar, was so excited to receive the golden belan award from the actress that she could not contain herself and ran towards Tabasssumji to grab it. Tabassum ji hugged her back, but the hug was so forceful that they lost balance and fell flat on the floor.”

The source adds, “Tabassum ji had earlier suffered four
fractures in her leg and this accident added to her pain. Everybody
rushed to help her, but to their surprise, she stood up and was ready
for the shot in no time.”

Says the actress, “The chairs we sit in have wheels and the stage is so
slippery that if you take to one step back, you will end up going five
steps back. That is what happened. After hugging Kritika, I sat on my
chair, perhaps, too forcefully and my chair was pushed back and I fell
hard. Baba, the other judge on the show, tried to steady my chair and
nearly lost his balance in the process.”

Tabassum adds, “I did hurt myself slightly on my back but it’s fine. I
rested for about 15 minutes and got back to work again. These things
are a part of shooting and work; we should not throw tantrums and
create a scene when such mishaps happen. Work is worship for me.”
