Rati Agnihotri's son on TV

We still remember Rati Agnihotri for her innocent and lovable character of Sapna in Ek Duje Ke Liye. But just as she reached the peak of her career, Rati gave it up to focus on her family. She married Anil Virwani and concentrated on raising their only child Tanuj before making her comeback 16 years later playing Kajol’s mother in Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi (2001). Now, the buzz is that Rati Agnihotri’s son Tanuj Virmani will be acting in a TV show.
But unlike his mother who is mainly seen in films, Tanuj has chosen the medium of TV to debut. The 22-year-old lad will be seen as a romantic hero. Ekta Kapoor is said to be making a romantic show after getting good responses for her recently-launched Pavitra Rishta. Like Pavitra Rishta, this show too will be a remake of a hit South Indian show. Tanuj will play the male protagonist and Ekta is still hunting for the female lead.

One of Rati’s few TV projects included her participation in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’s first season. Tanuj would often come to cheer her on. Rati will soon be seen in the movie Luck, which is releasing this month, and Blue Oranges, which is complete. Tanuj, on the other hand, has only made public appearances so far. He has not done any work on the big screen.
